Join the Los Angeles Area Antioch Alumni Chapter for a Fun Phone-a-thon!! - September 14

Come be part of the team to contact the alumni in the Greater Los Angeles Area! Help renew contact with your fellow alumni, update our databases, and raise money for the College Revival Fund! We will provide a light dinner, on-site training, camaraderie, and a brief update from Yellow Springs. **PLEASE BRING A CELL PHONE TO MAKE CALLS FROM.** Let’s keep Antioch College alive and renew our alumni network! Kristen & Aimee have actively collaborated in setting up a Los Angeles Chapter informational meeting to occur on Saturday, February 9 at 3 p.m. at the home of alums David Hall and Rascha (Labovitz) Hall.  I will be representing the CRF and providing the latest news, based on a briefing call that I’m scheduling for Friday with Rick Daily.

Kristen will be out of town for the event; I am coordinating local RSVPs with the hosts and Chapter Co-chair.

Please join us for a L.A. Chapter Antioch Alumni Association meeting to receive an update on the effort to save Antioch College! Learn what’s in and what’s out. Featuring Ina Frank ‘60, Executive Director of the College Revival Fund, who will talk about how to plan future fund raising actions.

LA Area Antioch Alumni Chapter Meeting & Revival Update

When: October 21, 3pm
Where: Throop Unitarian Universalist Church, Social Hall, 300 S. Los Robles Ave, Pasadena, CA 91101

We are doing potluck snacks, so if possible, please bring one of the
following, depending on the first letter of your last name**:

A - I Salty or sweet snacks - chips, crackers, cakes, cookies, etc
J - R Drinks and cups - water, juice, iced tea, soda
S - Z Fruit or Veggies with dip
**or bring plates and napkins, which are also needed!

We are holding this meeting to keep updated on the Revival effort, to
build our new chapter, and to do some participatory planning on
strengthening our region’s fundraising, recruitment, outreach, media, and
support for faculty and students . Hope to see you there!

Southern California Antioch alumni are forming a chapter and holding a Community Meeting August 19, 2007!

Do you want to know if Antioch can be saved? Please join Stephanie Knol ’01, Aimee Maruyama ’96, Director of Alumni Relations, Kristen Pett ’90, Alumni Board Member, & Ina Frank ’60, Alumni Board VP, for an update on the status of Antioch College, the Alumni Association’s plan to revive our beloved institution, and most importantly, how you can help!

Update of LA Area Alums

We’re busy doing the following:

Mass Mailing: in the process of putting together an introduction letter to Southern CA alums including Orange County & San Diego that includes a pledge card and reply card to gain members to the group.

Holding an organizing meeting & BBQ on July 22nd at my house…email me to be added to the Evite.

Several of us are sending letters to the LA times in response to the article last Saturday.

Well, that’s about it!!
